What is Massage?
Massage is an ancient form of body work, documented to having been used in Greek and Roman eras. Therapists concentrate on soft tissues of the body i.e. muscles and tendons. Massage therapy does not involve bone/spine manipulation or deep work within the joints. We work on softening and lengthening painful, stiff or compacted feeling muscles which then improves range of motion and minimises pain levels.
Do you suffer from a long term injury that keeps returning? Do you have a burning sensation right in-between your shoulder blades while you are working? Are you continuing to train for your event and ignoring that small niggle that seems to bother you during and after your session? Did you wake up this morning with a sore neck that makes it difficult for you to check your blind spot while driving?
Conditions that benefit from massage include:
- Chronic pain, such as back, shoulders, neck, headaches
