Pure and Simple Nutrition
How do I book an appointment?
I am Pip Meads, a degree-qualified nutritionist with a passion for health and wellness. I believe maintaining a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. There is a lot of conflicting information about nutrition and health which can be confusing, so I want to bring back the SIMPLE by providing simple honest evidence-based advice.
I have always had an interest in food and nutrition and the impact it has on our health. In 2017 I completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Nutrition) at Ara Institute of Canterbury. Prior to this, I gained qualifications in nutritional science and fitness. I worked in the fitness industry offering nutrition advice to gym members through specific weight loss programs.
I grew up on a farm in Mid Canterbury. I am married with two boys who, like me, enjoy being busy and outside. When it comes to relaxing I really enjoy running, and I also like to bake or read recipe books.
I am an active volunteer and member of Coeliac New Zealand. In 2016 I was diagnosed with coeliac disease, so I want to share my experience and use my knowledge to help educate and support others with coeliac disease to achieve a healthy balanced gluten free diet.
I am a member of the Nutrition Society of New Zealand and currently working towards becoming an associate registered nutritionist.
What nutrition services do you offer?
I provide simple evidence-based nutrition advice to address nutritional issues such as:
- Weight management
- Sports nutrition
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Coeliac disease
What happens in a nutrition appointment?
During the initial consultation we will discuss information provided on your pre-consultation nutrition assessment and food diary, your health concerns and goals. Together we will create a simple sustainable nutrition plan that is tailored to your nutrition and wellness goals as well as your budget and lifestyle.
It is recommended that clients attend at least 1 follow up appointment as these appointments are an excellent opportunity to touch base, review your goals, make any adjustments, answer any questions, as well as providing you with motivation and support to achieve your goals.
What days can I book a nutrition appointment?
Appointments are available at Motus Rolleston on Wednesdays and at Motus Lincoln on Mondays
How long will the appointment be?
Initial consultations are 50mins and follow-up appointments 20mins.
Is there any paperwork I need to fill in?
On booking your first consultation you will be asked to complete a detailed pre-consultation nutrition assessment including a 3-day food diary. This should be returned at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to ensure you gain maximum benefit from your consultation. The information you provide will help me assess your current issues, dietary intake, and understand your lifestyle.
