Tamiho graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy 2017. She completed a physiotherapy course in Japan 2004 and she has been working for 12 years. She received a license of Bobath therapist in 2006 and her specialty is in neurological physiotherapy, in particular stroke, cerebral palsy and spinal cord injury for adults and children. In 2012 She was awarded a scholarship that saw her travel to Denmark, Sweden, England and Australia in 2013 to learn about physiotherapy for spinal cord injury. This experience has influenced her to become a physiotherapist overseas to develop her career and foster a strong passion to contribute to society abroad. Outside of work, she has been involved with wheelchair basketball as a classifier and Chair Ski as a staff member. She has an interest to teach softball and enjoys going skiing and mountain biking.
