
Andie is a hand therapist with a strong background in sports physiotherapy, Andie has worked with a variety of age group sports teams and particularly enjoys working with adolescents. She is also passionate about injury management, health and wellbeing for women in midlife.
About
Andie graduated from AUT in 2001 and has worked in private practice since. She attained her Hand Therapy registration in 2014. She has a background in sports physio, mainly focused on rugby and basketball, and has worked with provincial and national teams. She has a special interest in the management of injuries in adolescents. She holds a Certificate of Nutritional Sciences and an Advanced Certificate in Nutrition from PreKure, with a focus on metabolic and hormone health. In 2023 Andie completed Menopause 2.0, a course by Exercise Physiologist Stacey Sims enhancing her ability to work with menopausal athletes.
Likes
My main focus is hand and upper limb rehabilitation, particularly sports-based injuries, from acute injury through to return to play. I enjoy working with perimenopausal women to optimize health and wellbeing.
Living Active
I am an avid gym junkie and always striving to hit a new PB. I love to get out into the hills and enjoy some of the stunning scenery the South Island has to offer with my family.
